My name is Mark Temple, my grandfather was George Temple, he was the 22 year old Trimmer who also died onboard the Lord Deramore and was close in age to Harold Enevoldson. I read with much interest the material you have posted with regard to the trawlers, it's all so tragic. I would like to pay my respects to my grandfather although I doubt there is a grave of any description. When I was a child I heard a story that there was a grave stone on "some island" but this seams unlikely. Would you know?
I gather moves are afoot to establish a memorial at St Andrew's Quay, Hull. I will chase up on that later. I now live in Australia.
Hi Mark
I was doing some family research and came across your post. Was wondering if your dad was Eric!
I am not related to your family directly but believe on my wife's side you are. If interested in contacting let me know, I am sure I could give you info on your family over here.
Brian
My Great great grandfather was H Atkinson. He was actually retired but my great grandma his daughter in law had passed away with pneumonia. My great grandfather was due to sail but had to arrange his wife's funeral and provisions for their 6 children my grandma included. So my great great grandfather offered to go in his place and give him the pay on his return. My great great grandfather never returned x
