"Sir - I feel it incumbent upon me to express in true words, simple though they may be, how deeply sorry I was to learn of the tragic death of Mr Enevoldson, Skipper of the trawler Lord Deramore. Skipper Enevoldson was beloved by all who knew him, for his exceptional quality of modesty, blended with human sympathy and courage. A man who despised publicity, he was one of Hull's most competent skippers. Skipper Enevoldson died as he would have wished, on the sea that he so dearly loved, and in his words of good wishes for his son's safety he revealed his true character of unselfishness at the very last".
